We have four daughters, Sara 25, Amanda 21, Illora 15 and Alandra 13. Jan is working as a Business office Manager for a local Physical Therapy Clinic. I spent the past 18 years working for a company that contracted to the State Lottery, providing online service to the satallite equipment and indoor lottery machines. I was informed in 2006 that my company had lost the contract renewal for the upcoming period, and that my job would be ending in June of 2007. My wife and I with the advice of a very good friend decided to give online sales a try. We had been tossing the idea around (as some of you have) to start selling on ebay. After starting with only a few items I got the hang of selling on ebay. The first year I sold literally a handful of items. But the second year I purchased more inventory and was much more successful. I am now in the process of migrating my ebay business to my own website. While I will not be leaving ebay, I'm hoping to build a buisiness independent of ebay. I have learned alot about eBay and have written an ebook that has many of the things I've learned the past few years. I have read many books on ebay selling and usually they contain things I already know, but I pick up little tidbits here and there. The main lesson is one I've known all along, treat your customers well and they will come back. My main focus is to ship quickly while paying attention to detail.
