Live.com rebate is working but no one knows for how long.
They can pull the plug at any time so don't wait around or it may be gone. I've seen it disappear for a day or two and people go crazy. It's easy to get used to having it available. Take my word for it and take advantage of it now.

There are several ways to do this, I think this is the easiest. First, copy the item number by highlighting it and from the right click menu choose copy:
To be safe it is a good idea to save the item to your watch list just in case.

Now close the browser and open a new one. (not necessary but keeps things clean)

Type (not paste or click a link)www.live.com in your browser address bar. If the number is not still on your clipboard go to your watched item list and click the item from there. Either way works.

Now type any product your looking for. Lets say Ipod Nano.Now look at the results for the "cash Back" icon in the window. You need to see the item with the ebay address next to it or it won't work.

Click the Live Search Cashback link.

Now you'll see an ebay window wht the green Microsoft cashback icon at the top. If you don't something is wrong. The icon at the top of the window indicates you have 60 minutes to complete the purchase to qualify for the discount.

Now in the search box paste the item number you copied in step 1 and tap the enter key. You will be taken to the auction and are ready to buy it with the rebate.

After you buy it now you will get a message in your ebay messages that says you have cash. You will need to set up a windows live ID if you don't have a hotmail account. It's super easy, they walk you through it.

After 60 days you will have the cash back in the account that is tied to your email.It is funded through microsoft/paypal so it is not a fake deal. It's real I just used it. The reason for the 60 day time period is in case you make a return. The money is secure. Yes you'll part with it for 60 days, but it's secure and you'll get it back. Unlike the rebates we all have bitten on from retail stores. You can get up to $200 maximum off ANY purchase on ebay for a short time. No idea how long.

You will see the discount before you pay. You will be emailed by Microsoft and there will be a confirmation message in your "my messages" in your ebay. There is also instructions after you checkout. Sure you pay now but get a cash rebate later!

Here are the instructions

Step1: Go to live.com, do a product-oriented search and you'll see a sponsored link for the program. Click that and register for the cash back program. Make sure to choose paypal as your $ system and make sure it's the SAME account you'll be using for everything you want to layer in (1.5% cash back and stuff).
Step2: Go BACK to live.com and do a search for a product (xbox games works as of this writing). You will see an eBay.com paid-search advertisement. Click on that link.

You'll know you've done this right if when you get to eBay it is splattered with live cash back icons and banners on the top and down the left side, like this:

Step3: Read and make sure you understand the terms (the eBay specific ones) that are here. The limitations are:
