iTrip FM Transmitter-Listen to your iPod in the Car

The iTrip FM Transmitter:
Soon after you have your iPod all loaded up with your favorite music, you'll find the need to be able to listen to it in the car. In days gone by, the solution was via the in dash cassette deck. Those days are gone (along with the 8 track tapes) and Griffin has introduced the best solution I've found yet.
The iTrip FM Transmitter uses your cars existing Stereo FM Radio to deliver the sound from your iPod.
By using the bottom "Dock" connector to transmit the sound the bandwith is increased, giving a much better sound than the other companies that use the earphone jack.
I have tried several different FM Transmitters and the iTrip is the best one I've found. This is because there are no wires to become "shorted" out and no batteries to replace. I have spent the past 18 years driving most of the work day, so the need to hear my MP3 tracks in my truck is essential.
iTrip Black
Following in the tradition of its earlier LCD-less iTrip, Griffin has produced a special black version of iTrip with Dock Connector to match the bodies of black fifth-generation iPods and nanos. The company has also straightened the Dock Connector plugs on its latest revision of iTrip; otherwise, the units are functionally the same as the ones we reviewed in November, and priced the same as well.
The large and easy to read back lit LCD screen makes setting its digital tuner easy and intuitive.
One of iTrip's innovative new features (something not found on any other FM transmitter) is its selectable LX or DX modes of broadcasting, which allow you to adjust for the absolute best possible audio under real-world conditions. Even in large cities with lots of radio stations crowding the dial, iTrip's DX Mode delivers a background noise level below that of a cassette tape adapter, allowing the music to punch through cleanly. The results are stunning.
